This project is an evolution of a three-bedroom family apartment in the vibrant Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst. The design vision is a home of palette and pattern, where the owner's global travels meet in an inspired space that showcases treasured works of sculpture and paint and highlights the extraordinary landscaping of Danga Baroun Smith. The design arcs can be found in the details, marrying sweeping long vistas of opulent Italian marble with the timber and repetitive patterns of Japanese minimalism. Family spaces are sacred and the private is seeped in a sensual ritual that fuses serene lighting, scent, personal pieces with generous proportions that act as a rejuvenating balm to everyday busyness.
